Robin S. Wink
Robin S. Wink is a practicing attorney from the Washington DC area. She retired from the federal government after twenty-six years of distinguished service in several federal agencies and the U.S. Air Force. She most recently served as Assistant Chief Counsel for Administrative Litigation at the Transportation Security Administration in the Department of Homeland Security. As Assistant Chief Counsel, she supervised a team of twenty-three attorneys who defended federal personnel cases before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the Merit Systems Protection Board. In the three-plus years Ms. Wink led this team, they established an impressive record having successfully handled more than 1000 cases, with only 10 losses. She was recognized for her leadership with the Office of Chief Counsel Gold Medal Award. Prior to joining TSA, Ms. Wink served four years as an Attorney Advisor with the Executive Office for U.S. Attorneys in the Department of Justice. While at DOJ, Ms. Wink defended U.S. Attorneys in federal personnel cases and was a frequent lecturer at the Department of Justice’s National Advocacy Center, teaching courses in federal personnel law as well as Ethics and Professional Responsibility for Attorneys. Ms. Wink is a retired Lieutenant Colonel in the Air Force Reserves. During her military career, Ms. Wink served as an Air Force Judge Advocate General (JAG) on active duty in various assignments from 1992 until 1998 and a reserve JAG from 1998until 2006. Prior to attending law school, Ms. Wink was an Air Force Air Traffic Control Operations Officer. Ms. Wink graduated from the United States Air Force Academy, with military distinction, and she received a Juris Doctor, with academic distinction, from the Columbus School of Law at The Catholic University of America. Ms. Wink is admitted to practice in Virginia and the District of Columbia as well as the United States Supreme Court.
